Creating a Positive WorkplaceBusinesses that have a positive environment will not only boost the morale of their employees, but they will be able to run their businesses more cost-effectively. Creating a healthy workplace atmosphere starts from the top, it is up to management to find the happy medium with their employees to be able to lower turnover and help their employees feel respected and appreciated. A happy business is a productive and profitable business. Businesses where management allows unhealthy workplace culture to persist, inevitably suffer unnecessary economic hardships. When employees are subjected to the prolonged stress of an unhealthy workplace, they suffer lasting physical and emotional consequences. Informative research on statistics for unhealthy and healthy workplace environments is offered to be utilized for the purpose of educating and making recommendations for a future business owner. This research consists of the use of surveys and interviews, as well as primary research with secondary scholarly sources.

Discrimination in the Workplace: Women of ColorFor women of color, there are disproportionate rights and employment challenges that are faced, like: the wage gap, harassment, physiological issues, and more. This paper describes the battle for rights and gives a glimpse of the battles fought for equality in the workplace. Discrimination comes at a cost for individuals, and businesses, but there is a way to move towards diversity and a bright future. Many companies are starting to create change in hopes that other organizations will follow in their footsteps. Research includes surveys and interviews.

Workplace Harassment: Women of ColorMany of the research found today about workplace harassment fails to mention anything outside of sexual harassment. This research paper explains different types of workplace harassment, the consequences for individuals and businesses, traits of a harasser, interviews with real individuals who have experienced workplace harassment, a survey with 66 diverse women of all races, ages and industries to give their experiences with workplace harassment, and there is an interview with a family life therapist who has been interviewed. The paper includes primary and secondary research, and it also includes contacts for individuals who are experiencing workplace harassment to reach out to in Washington State. This information is extremely important to better understand how workplace harassment affects an individual.
