Lesson description: A field trip to a local museum allows students to interact with and learn from material items from the Salish Sea and also encourages students to think about the ethics of museum representation and Indigenous collaboration.

Spatial coverage: This field trip was designed for the Whatcom Museum Exhibit of the Sea and Cedar, but can be adapted for any other museum context. If you cannot get to a museum in person (or if students are absent) there is a virtual make-up option.
