Title
Shore Friendly Living - Coastal Beaches and Bluffs
Description
Video by Northwest Straits Foundation and The Shore Friendly program shows how the geology and physical processes that form Puget Sound beaches impact those who live on them.
Abstract
This video is the first in a series made by the Northwest Straits Foundation in partnership with other Shore Friendly programs across Puget Sound. The Shore Friendly program was created to provide shoreline landowners with resources to maintain and protect their investments while also protecting the fish and wildlife that need healthy nearshore habitats to thrive.

All of the beaches in Puget Sound have their own unique characteristics, but the processes that shape them are fairly consistent. In this first video, we dive into the geology and physical processes that create and maintain our beaches to learn how those processes determine who and what utilize the shoreline and make it their home.
